OATMEAL SOUND COMPANY | VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK | 6-8pm
Oatmeal Sound Company
Oatmeal Sound Company is a songwriting duo comprised of Edward Billock and James Hodges. Although somewhat new to the central Texas area, the beginning was really 30 years ago when the two met in West Texas. The musical connection was immediate, and the songwriting began! Time and life happened, and their families were separated by miles and states—but never in heart. They finally made it back to the same zip code around Oatmeal Texas, and now, it’s original music being expressed in a classic Americana style. Our expression is always with gratitude, always from the heart, and decorated with a few tributes to classics of the past.
SARAH HALL | TASTING LOUNGE (BEHIND STUBBLEFIELD) | 6-9pm
Sarah Hall
A classically trained harpist from the age of 6, Sarah has performed as a soloist and an accompanist, as well as with small and large ensembles, choirs, concert bands, ballets, and operas all across Texas. She also works as a studio musician and can be heard on several soon-to-be-released songs by local Austin musicians, as well she is a member of the L.A.-based SSSHeartStrings. Sarah also teaches beginner harp in Central Texas.
Believing the harp has a place outside concert halls and should be accessible to everyone, Sarah enjoys playing in more intimate settings, covering everything from Billboard 100, Broadway, Pop, Classical, Celtic, and Jazz.

Dale Watson is a honky tonk hero and country music maverick, a true outlaw carrying on where Waylon Jennings left off. A member of the Austin Music Hall of Fame, he stands alongside Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and George Strait as one of the finest country singers and songwriters from the Lone Star State.
Dale signed with Red House Records in 2011 to release his 20th album called The Sun Sessions. Hailed as “one of the best country albums of the year” (Atlanta Journal Constitution), it was recorded at Memphis’ legendary Sun Studios with The Texas Two (bassist Chris Crepps and drummer Mike Bernal) in the stripped-down style of Johnny Cash’s earliest recordings. He followed this with El Rancho Azul, 14 fresh honky tonk originals about marriage, heartbreak and honkytonkin, which propelled Dale into the national spotlight with multiple appearances on late-night television and NPR.

SCOTT WADE | DIRTY CAR ARTIST
Scott Wade
Scott Wade, otherwise known as the Dirty Car Artist, began drawing at an early age. Dirty Car Art wasn’t an “aha” moment. It evolved from living on a long, dirt road, where the family cars were always covered with a fine layer of dust. In this case, limestone and clay from the road base- or “caliche” as the locals call it -of Central Texas, where Scott lives. Having such a great canvas, Scott couldn’t resist drawing on the windows (particularly the rear window, which gets the most dust), much as you might write “wash me,” with a finger drawing a fat line. His early drawings were usually funny faces; his dad was an amateur cartoonist, and Scott developed his own style of cartooning. Eventually though, he became curious; could he expand the visual vocabulary from that fat line? He started experimenting with using a fingernail to get a finer line, the pads of his fingers brushed lightly to create some shading. One day, having finished a popsicle, he took the chewed end of the stick out of his mouth and tried it as a brush. Soon he was trying all his brushes to see what effects they could achieve. He started photographing and emailing the resulting drawings to his friends. One of those emails was forwarded to a local columnist, which resulted in the media wanting to showcase his work, which turned into opportunities to create his special kind of art all over the world!
You can find Scott Wade drawing on Liberty Hill’s favorite “dirty car” at Quick Service Garage.
