The City of Liberty Hill is seeking talented artists to perform live demonstrations from 6-9pm during the festival. Selected artists will receive a $200 stipend to cover costs of supplies. Live artists may not sell items in their demo space.
Payment – Artists will be paid $200
Setup – No later than 5pm. If artists need to drop off items from a vehicle, there will be a designated load-in time between 3 & 4pm.
Breakdown – 9pm
Artists will work in an assigned space, while festival-goers walk around and explore the festival. Artists can work silently or engage the community in their art. Artists must provide everything needed for the demonstration. Very limited electricity, water, and wifi available on a first-come, first-served basis. Artists should demo only, and may not sell or display additional pieces.We are seeking a variety of mediums including, but not limited to, painting, drawing, chalk art, sand art, sculpture, ceramics, photography, mixed media, bronze, wood, leather, textile, metal, digital, film, printmaking, textile, jewelry, etc. The more whimsical and unique, the better!
LIVE DEMO RULES:
- Artists will be paid a $200 fee at festival.
- Demo space is 10 ft x 10 ft.
- Tents are not provided or required.
- Wifi, electricity and water are available on a very limited basis.
- Artists must perform demo from 6-9pm.
- Audience interaction is encouraged, but optional.
- Artists must provide everything needed for the demo.
- Artists may not sell items at demo space. They are receiving compensation for a live demo.
- If artists need to drive to assigned location to drop off items, they must arrive at a designated time between 3pm & 4pm. Otherwise, there will be a short walk, and everything must be set up by 5pm.
- Locations are assigned based on a number of factors. We are unable to accommodate requests.
- Festival is rain or shine, unless safety is an issue.
- Artist no-shows will be prohibited from participating in future Liberty Hill events.
