DESCRIPTION
The heart of downtown Liberty Hill is Veterans Memorial Park which was renovated in April 2018. Greeting visitors at the entrance is The Kneeling Soldier. The sculpture, which stands over seven feet tall, was placed on November 12, 2018, and created by artist Bob Ragan.
Five monument stones stand and surround a five-point star with the American flag set in the middle. The monument’s stones contain the names of veterans from Liberty Hill. A wrought iron fence encompasses the park with the military emblems of the five service branches displayed on the outer side facing Loop 332.
VETERANS BRICK PROJECT
Residents can purchase bricks or a wall inscription in the park to honor veterans.
